E-Models

Finally...a month after no blogging! Shame on me!
Crazy work schedule has knocked down my ability to do stuff. Hope it ends soon! I want my life back!

Anyways, I heard Sheena Lee needed some shots for her group of models and I gladly oblige. They are nice group of girls and we had a great time shooting. The location was the Mansion Club in north west Dallas. Nice place, awesome interior for shooting.

Anywasy onto the shots! To see more, check out my flickr set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ridgebackzulu/sets/72157608608038759/

Enjoy!!

Misanthrope

Last night you saw Misanthrope aka Meghan aka Misa aka super model caught all on fire in my flight suit. Cool stuff. Today are some pics with less fire, and more of my dog Zulu :)

Enough babbling. Here's the shots!

Don't Play With Fire Kids!

Yeah leave fires to grown ups. Not that I'm grown up. I'm as silly as any third grader. I just have the ability to either a) talk my way out of getting arrested for illegal fires or b) able to pay my own bail or c) run faster than a cop... Anyways I had my first photo shoot party over here at the House of Mark. Was super fun! Megan, Satat, Nish, Chase, Troy and my idiot dog were here. After some green screen shots, we went outside and set stuff on fire! Namely an old towel, a bed sheet and two tiki torches! Fire is fun :)

Here's a quick preview. I'll edit some more stuff in the later week.

p.s. no models were harmed(much) during the burning process ;)

More Eyes

Today Amanda and I went on a quick jaunt down to the harbor for some natural light. Being Texas, it was just past boiling at 4pm. The sun at a 45 degree angle toasted us nicely... We started off walking around the shady side of the harbor to keep us from getting fried. After a couple hours, one wardrobe change, dinner and some competitive glares from the other women nearby; we left with nearly 300 shots. Lots of keepers! Normally one gets 1 or 2 percent. I think we got nearly 40%!

Anyways...enough of my babbling and statistics, on with the pics!

The Eye's Have It

Some people say the eyes are the gateway to the soul. In some cultures, the eyes are a delicacy... especially stuffed with coleslaw or cream cheese! No kidding, check out Wikipedia if you don't believe me!

This is my friend Amanda. She's gonna be super famous one day. I'm certain she can play anything from an axe murderer to a mental health counselor at an insane asylum.

Anyways she needed some head shots. Isn't she adorable?? hahaha those are her words not mine :) No really, she's awesome, here's a few shots!

J Lo!

There she is all serious and stuff.

Serious, yet...umm vixeny...is vixeny a word? Sounds like a cross between Viking and Vicodine. Hmmm ancient warriors and kickbutt painkillers sounds like a good party!

House of Satat

Another great night at The House of Satat!

My friend Satat and her husband Nish were kind enough to (once again) invite me to a photographic event of epic proportions. The cast and crew were small, yet the output was great! One never knows what will happen at The House of Satat. It's all unplanned, unscripted and unrehearsed..just the way I like it :)

It's amazing what can happen in a little room, couple of scruffy strobes, and a white sheet of paper taped to the wall!

Next get together will be at the House of Mark :)

Now onto the results!
(click for much better versions!)

Nish

Hola from the infamous ghetto studio!

Once again enjoy the images from North Texas/East Dallas/Central USA/Northern Hemisphere/South side of 30/the other side of the tracks!

My friend Satat called and wanted pics of her hubby Nish on his cool Ninja bike. After some testing and goofing off in the backyard we went inside the ghetto studio and did some crazy stuff!

One would think massive quantities of LSD or some other illicit drugs were our inspiration for this stuff. When in reality, just creative thinking and wanting to push the envelope provided us with the mental fuel for the ensuing fun.

enough babbling..here ya go :)

FAB Magazine Shoot

Last month I had the opportunity to shoot for a new Dallas fashion magazine. Due to the contract I could not post anything until today. Well here we go!

We shot in an old dance hall. The night before they had an quinceanera. If you don't know what that is, just think of a mix between a Mexican wedding and Bat Mitzvah. But no one is getting married and the guests are a lot more drunk! The place was a wreck, and no air conditioning. I suppose the models had it the easiest, all they had to do is look pretty wearing little to nothing...

All in all the models and the coordinators were awesome and a lot of fun. I got a few good shots, as did my friend Amanda.

Here's some of the shots:
Shot infront of a softbox.

I had her spin hard and look into the camera. I like the red bits flying around!

I saw her walking around doing nothing, so I grabbed her(well not really!) and sat her down and got a few nice shots.

This dude was cool. I even got him to smile once!

Another cool guy with cool sun glasses.

Enjoy!
