Amazing Lauren

Today, I had the fantastic opportunity to shoot a cool girl, Lauren. It's not often a 6ft 2in, blonde bombshell visits the studio! She was a great sport and even laughed at my stupid jokes :)

Ok here's some of my favorites. (click for bigger versions)

Natural light is so much fun!

This is Lauren's friend Cody.

I hope we can shoot Lauren again! She's got some talent!

Enjoy!

They Come Out at Night

Friday night, Dave "Black Eye" Koslowski from DallasPhotoWorks and I rendezvoused Satat's domicile. We were not sure what to expect from the party she was throwing. Part artist get-together, part Halloween the charachters in the house ranged from everyday school girl to full on Punk/Goth. Not to place anyone in a particular genre! For everyone attending, thier philisophy of life, thier uninhibited charachter and image created a rare mixture of creativity and enjoyment for all.

It's refreshing to run across those who feel free to dress and see the world in thier own way, without a care of who or what someone says. Not one person held up a social filter to thier personality as much of the "main" line of our population does.

Here are a few of my favorite shots, of some the nicest, friendliest people you'll ever meet.

Enjoy :)

Lightsabers and Chainsaws

Today I visited the http://www.all-con.org comic/toys/anime/Star Wars/medieval convention today. I also visited the Texas Fear Fest!

Both of which gladly took my hard earned cash...for nothing more than about an hour total of my precious time... of which I'll never get back... I guess I'll have to compress two hours of fun into one, to make up for this experience!

I felt compelled to post something, just so my day wouldn't feel like a total waste. Being surrounded by 45 year old's dressed as either
a. Stormtroopers on crack.
b. Wigged out, cross bred Smurf-Voltron composites.
c. Poorly crafted Freddy Crouger costumes, complete with a glove..of which the blades were most certainly made from their mother's finest butter-knives.

...made for quite an odd day....Now don't get me wrong, I'm not one for growing up, I still giggle like a schoolgirl at stupid jokes, and would rather play video games than do actual work..but man, these guys really take it to extremes! Gotta give them credit for their passion in life...whatever that may be...because it's certainly not moving out of mom's basement... j/k! Come on guys take a joke! Texas doesn't have basements!

Anyways here's King Arthur or king something or other...I'm sure he's king of something.

Here's a Stormtrooper armed with the latest in full auto nerf weaponry. Probably why they lost to Jedi's armed with nothing more than a laser pen...

Here's Luke taking one for the team..right to the pre-frontal cortex, as Leia gleefully takes in the show of pure manliness.

Here's a nice photo of a very cool chick, Shyla. She makes Ugly Art Dolls http://www.uglyart.net/ Of the people I met, she was the coolest and had the most interesting display at the Texas Fear Fest. I hope she's up here next year, I'll take some more cool shots of her I hope!

Well that's it for today...Oh bought a printer HP D7260..Wicked photo printer. Dare I say the prints look better than the screen! Wow!
